Campaign Thesis

In November 2009, the people of Cuyahoga County voted for a new representative form of government. A government that separated executive and legislative powers, and promoted accountability and transparency.

This change resulted from a massive public corruption scandal that took down more than 70 government officials, employees, contractors, and businesspeople for rampant public bribery.

By rejecting the status quo of pay-to-play politics, Cuyahoga residents declared that our elected leaders should work for us—not the billionaires and special interests.

District Three deserves better than the politics of the past to build a healthier and more affordable Cuyahoga County.

As a Democratic member of County Council, Justin will:

  • Hold monthly community events where residents can directly engage with their government, from town halls to resource fairs

  • Engage with municipalities and organizations around the county to foster regionalism and improve government efficiency and services

  • Work everyday to implement the Healthy and Affordable Cuyahoga Action Plan

Together, and by using the tools of the County Charter, we can build a healthier and more affordable Cuyahoga County.
